How Excavator Hire Works

Simple, honest, no surprises

Most excavator hire is a guessing game — you ring around, hand over your details, and wait to find out what it costs. We do it the other way around. Our prices are on the site, our agreement is one page, and you know the full cost before you commit. Here’s the whole process, start to finish.

1.  Get your quote

Tell us the job, your dates and your suburb. Our rates are published up front — day, weekend, weekly and long-term, GST included — so you can plan before you even get in touch. Send it through the quote form or message us, and we come straight back with an itemised price: hire plus delivery, no hidden fees.

2.  Lock in your booking

Happy with the quote? We confirm the machine and a delivery window, and you complete a simple one-page dry-hire agreement and a quick direct-debit setup. No drawn-out paperwork, no chasing.

3.  We deliver, site-ready

We float the machine to your site on a tilt-tray — fully fuelled, serviced and ready to work, with a full bucket set included (GP, trench and mud), not billed as extras. We take a quick photo condition report at handover so everyone’s on the same page.

4.  You run the machine

This is dry hire, so you operate it (or your own operator does). All we ask is a competent operator and your own public liability cover. Before you dig, grab your Dial Before You Dig plans — we’ll remind you. The machine is yours for the full term, no minimum.

5.  Support while you’ve got it

Anything comes up, tell us straight away. If something goes wrong through fair wear and tear, we sort it and your hire pauses until you’re running again — you don’t pay for our downtime. GPS keeps the machine tracked and serviced in the background.

6.  End of hire

When you’re done, just let us know. We arrange collection at a time that suits, do a quick return check, refund your bond less anything owing, and send a clear final invoice based on your actual hire.

7.  Next time is easier

Hire with us again and it’s a two-minute booking. Long-term and repeat hirers get our best weekly rates — the longer you go, the cheaper it works out per week.
